Our Mission:

Restoring Lives by Providing Safe Homes and Grace Filled Relationships

Our Vision:

Lakeshore Lifeworks strives to provide a transitional home where all vulnerable youth have the full support of both the Church and the Community to lead a full life and to reach their God-given potential.

How we got started

In 2013, Rick and Lisa Mannes purchased a multi family, 11 acre campus in Holland with the intent to provide a well supervised, semi-independent housing option for youth. Youth ages 18-21 who have either aged out of foster care or have ended up homeless without any other support systems are welcome at Lakeshore Lifeworks. Our goal is to develop employable, respectful, productive, contributing members of society while moving them to independence.

Lakeshore Lifeworks was designed with a support structure that wraps around its residents which includes a house RA, supportive relationships from local churches, and strong ties with area agencies that are already working with vulnerable youth. We also have developed an important and strong relationship with the local Michigan Youth Opportunities Initiative program.
